Jean Nemenzik, LMSW, is a clinical social worker and graduate of the University of Michigan School of Social Work. She has over 20 years of experience in clinical and macro level social work, as well as academia. She welcomes work with individuals, couples/families and children ages 12 and up.

Jean specializes in the treatment of personality and mood disorders. She has extensive training and experience in the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy as well as other cognitive behavioral/evidenced based practices. Jean has experienced success in partnering with clients in developing insight and building new skills to improved quality of life.

Through her diverse and extensive work experiences Jean has had the opportunity to work in areas of divorce and custody mediation, treatment of eating disorders, substance abuse, grief and loss and trauma; as well as specific issues affecting the LGBTQIA+ community. She has had the privilege of treating clients from diverse backgrounds, including college students, faculty and staff at Columbia University and the University of Michigan. 

Jean has previously worked as a therapist at the DBT Institute of Michigan and has served as Clinical Director at Kadima and Hope Network. She is a passionate, extensively trained and effective clinician, equipped and eager to treat a broad spectrum of concerns in partnership with her clients.
