Claire Bensen, LLMSW, is a Limited Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduate of the University of Michigan School of Social Work.

She is passionate about supporting individuals navigating student mental health concerns, low self-esteem and body image challenges, depression, relationship stress, grief, family conflict, anxiety, and the transitions of parenthood, including fertility challenges, miscarriage, and postpartum experiences. Claire adapts her treatment approach to each client’s unique strengths and goals, emphasizing the importance of meeting clients where they are.

Her work is trauma- and shame-informed and rooted in attachment theory. Claire utilizes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), while intentionally integrating self-compassion into the therapeutic process. She strives to create a radically open and safe space grounded in trust, compassion, and collaboration. Claire looks forward to supporting you as you process life stressors and take meaningful steps toward the goals and changes you are working toward.
